Attempted Energy Swap
2 to 3 months ago I completed the process of applying to swap my Electric & Gas tariff via the MSE Cheap Energy Club. Time passed I heard nothing, but as I was only changing tariff but staying with British Gas, I thought it must have sailed through. Unfortunately I heard on 31st May from MSE Cheap Energy Club that, British gas have refused my tariff change. I have been trying to get more info from MSE Cheap Energy Club on what tariff I applied for and when, but no relies as yet. I contacted Brit Gas on 1st June they knew nothing about my request to change tariff! I'm gutted because as the prices have zoomed up since my application, especially on electric which has increase by about 25%. Does anyone know if there is a way via the MSE Cheap Energy account, that I can access the details of my application, when I applied and the name of the tariff, will be key to my case to force Brit Gas to honour my request. My Brit Gas account is always paid on time, they really have no reason to refuse me, their policy is to allow customers to swap to better tariffs penalty free. Any advice from MSE or any lovely forum members, would be very gratefully received :)
