Just had an email from Santander offering 0% interest until end of December 2026 on my credit card purchases. Total balance to be paid in January or interest will be added.

Sounds like to good an offer to refuse.

It's only just over 6 months of 0%, but for sure it's a useful little bonus.

Remember you'll still need to make the minimum payment each month. And make absolutely sure you'll be able to repay the full amount at the end of December. Ideally put money aside into a savings account so you can earn a little bit of interest on it.

Just read the T&Cs carefully to see how any existing balance (if applicable) will be treated. If you always pay in full I suspect it won't be an issue. But if you've already got a balance on there, then I suspect the existing balance will still attract interest at the standard rate, it's only new purchases that will be at 0%.

My main issue is that the credit limit on the card is only £3700, I could easily rack up over £1000 a month but maybe they will increase the limit as time goes by.

In my experience, with other CC providers, any credit limit increases have come at least six months after I've had a card, so just in time for the end of your 6 months at 0%, unless it's an existing card.
