New Hard Drive

I have a Dell Dimension T600r computer which I need to get a new hard drive for as the old one has died and thought this would be the best place to find out where to get one and how much it would be.

Before you go to these sites, you need to find out what kind of hard drive it is!

You will be able to put your service tag in and it will tell you what the machine was shipped with from new. If you purchased this new then it will tell you what hardware it was built with.

If you bought it second hand then you don't really know if the original config has been changed, pretty unlikely still.

Your service tag is usually on the back of the machine, on a sticker under a barcode.
