a quick google suggests that would still be supported. you aren’t technically getting a HMRC relief payment, its an employer contribution pre-tax.

If more Pensioners are having to stay on, due to the poor SP and did not have the option to pay into private pensions when younger, perhaps the Government need to change the ruling age. Why isn't it against the law to discriminate due to age?

It's legal to have age-related terms if it's a "proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim".

Update on this. I was sent an email just prior to cut off date for salaries, giving me 2 hours to confirm if I wanted to re-enrol. I think if I hadn't replied then I would have missed a month.

Staff who are eligible for auto enrolment did miss a month. They seem very keen for people to not join or remain in the pension scheme.
