Smart Parking/DCB Legal CCJ against me

After moving house I have found out I have a CCJ against me dated 07/05/2026. Claimant is Smart Parking/DCB Legal. I presume that if I pay by 06/06/2026 the CCJ will clear from my record. Given the timescale, and against my better judgement, I am inclined to pay. Do I have any other realistic option?

You could set a side but theirs costs in that and you'd need some reasons as to why you haven't been able to respond, proof of moving house evidence.

Payment to the court is £313 with a hearing and £123 without (please double check fees), it's unlikely the other side will agree, they are also entitled to costs at the hearing I think they would be fixed at £50 or something I cannot quite remember.

You wouldn't get that 313/123 back though.

Yep - but no need to do that (or pay) because there is another option that we use on this forum. Certainly no paying that amount.

OK, thanks Coupon-mad. Have read through what I can but didn’t pick up another option to use at this late stage.
