great little website!

have found this website, onlineconversion.com its great for converting just about anything to anything. if gives you the bog standard answers to the number of pints in a litre for example, but it also lets you imput quantities and convert it from a to b

came across it when i was looking to find out how much x degrees celsius was in farhenheit the other day, and have used it so many times since i've had to add it to my favourites!

hope it is of some help to people...much better standing there scratching your head trying to figure out how the hell you're going to work out how to switch from one to the other.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Mortgage-free Glee!
Look in the free asda mag and there is usually a conversion chart for weights/measures and temperatures. I cut it out and stuck it up in the cupboard near the cooker. very handy!

There are more available in the Be-Ro book too :)

Actually, I can't imagine any cook book not having the basic ones such as temperatures and metric/imperial :)

Excellent site, and while I was browsing it I thought of something else that always flummoxes me - laundry instructions. So would anyone like us to ask Squeaky very nicely if he'd like to add this site to the indexes (indices?) too?

    http://www.textileaffairs.com/lguide.htm

It seems very user-friendly, and if you click on the "washing instructions" etc. in the left hand column, it opens a page with detailed temperatures etc.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Terrific. Yes. Will do. I'll add it to the links we have in the Save Zillions on Cleaning Index.

    Nice find BB :)
