Flight delayed etc, travel insurance
I'm sure many people don't bother, but do you call your travel insurance company if your flight is delayed by 24 hours or more, ie travel insurance ends the day/night?
Has anyone been caught out, ie flight delayed/etc. up to 4/5 days as it can happen, do you just cross your fingers in the hope you don't have a mishap, medical event etc?

Are you asking if the single trip insurance still covers you for the length of the delay if this takes you past the dates that you told the insurer you would be away for?
If the delay is for events outside of your control (and you would need to check your individual insurance to see what that means) then yes the cover is normally extended.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

So you mean your return flight?
Generally with single trip insurance it automatically extends if you are stuck overseas at no fault of your own; things are different if you decide you want to extend your holiday by a week.
