Aldi Lacura Rejuvelate day cream - face cream to me is a bit like housework, I only notice if I don't do it/use it! This is budget an seems to do the job of making me not look too wrinkled, I usually get the Q10 version but tried this. Honestly not noticed a huge difference. Replaced with a Avon 'shade the day' cream given to me last year in a giftset from Mum, she bought this as it's Avon's vegan range, but looking up the price I think it's expensive for what it is. It seems to leave a white cast that properly has to be rubbed in, so I probably wouldn't buy this in future.

Derma V10 dry body oil spray - Can't remember where I got this, I know it was inexpensive, but seems discontinued, shame as it smelt amazing! Replaced with a Nivea Argan Oil body lotion from Mum's stash.

Cien roll on deodorant cotton - I don't really have a stash of deodorants as I don't seem to aquire them like other toiletries so hardly need to report. Aldi or Lidl own roll on is generally what works. I usually only deviate if travelling abroad to a hot country then will take a full sized spray antiperspirant and a travel sized for the hand lugagge.

Yardley Lavender eau de toilette - This was ok for in the office, but not my favourite scent, it was part of a gift set, so will not buy myself. Replaced with an Impulse 'spirit' body spray from hoard, another old stocking filler I think, but nice fresh scent fine for top ups at work. Day to day I'm currently wearing Daisy MJ.

I've a black tie wedding to attend in a couple of weeks. I tried on my dress yesterday, and I'm a bit dismayed about the state of my arms and beginning of crepey skin (the big 60 fast approaching) 😯Can anyone recommed a body lotion or cream that will improve the texture, really don't want to have to buy another dress!

Not sure anything applied to the skin will make a huge difference in 2 weeks, apart from exfoliation, self tan and smothering in a rich body cream. A sheer cardi or bolero can look nice with a sleeveless dress, especially if it's got a bit of sparkle to it.

Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without

I think you may be right 😕I will use some fake tan and have a few weeks to be a bit more consistent with moisturiser. I dug out and used the Body shop shea body scrub last night but if needed I've just remembered daughter bought me a beautiful shawl on her recent trip to India that looks very luxe and should match.

UU: Simple Shampoo - WNBA because it made my scalp itchy, which isn't usually my experience of Simple. I was glad to see the end of this, as it made my hair squeaky clean (not in a good way) and wasn't right for my skin. Replacing it with a Cantu shampoo from my huge stash of hair products that I need to work through.

IN: Using up a Clinique All About Eyes rollerball eye massage pen. This is lovely and really does depuff my eyes. It's made me remember how much I used to love Clinique eye creams and I may need to get the eye cream I used to love (once I'm a bit richer), or maybe an anti-wrinkle one since I'm getting old now.

IN: I had the idea to put a lipbalm in the lounge next to the sofa, so that I can apply it frequently in the evenings, as that will ensure I use them more often. The one I am starting with is a Palmer's Cocoa Butter stick. I tend to like everything in this range, as I like the chocolate vanilla scent they all have.

Posting these in two goes, as it's behaving a bit weird and deleting things!

Quite a few INs… nothing v interesting though- it's all deo, eye drops and suncream 🤣

    • Sure Cotton Dry Nonstop Protection Compressed Antiperspirant Aerosol 75ml: for weekend away
    • Sure Nonstop Protection Anti-Perspirant Aerosol Uplifting & Fresh 250ml: for reals.
    • Thealoz Duo Eye Gel: My eyes have been watering like crazy this last few months, I thought it was just hayfever but the hayfever tablets didn’t seem to be doing much…. So a quick bit of research suggests it could actually be dry eyes (which google tells me could be a perimenopause symptom.... lovely....), so wanted to try some good eye drops. The gel ones are the most intense, so using these before bed and when I first get up, and then using the regular drops as needed throughout the day. It does seem to have helped actually!
    • THEALOZ DUO Dry Eye Drops 10ml: for daytime
    • Revolution Sport Fix Fixing Spray 100ml: replacement.
    • Mad about Skin- Maximum Impact Moisturiser x 2: current moisturiser is spluttering bad. Bought two as I don't think I'll need to order anything for a while.

Freebie: Soltan Once Age Defence facial SPF 50, which is great cos I like this one and buy it anyway!
