CEL in-house claim
Hi all,
Just firing a quick question, I've been going through a parking dispute with a car park operator, now an 'enforcement' company. Had parked in a pub, not knowing you needed to put reg details into a machine. I've followed all the usual, and I'm at the stage of filing a defence.
I just wanted to check a few things - the first being to copy the template defence into MCOL? I've noticed it's changed since the previous 2 times I've used it. I will put in a little bit about how I was a customer, how I have a receipt (I'm not sure, can I provide this as evidence at this stage?), how my appeal was rejected even though as a customer, I was parked 'lawfully' and without cost to the pub, and how I have spoken to the pub and they are upset that I'm having to do this (is that worth it?).
Once I've done this, I send off the N180 form is it?
Am I missing anything I may need to do? (I have filed the AOS, I have a couple of days to send this defence, so I'm doing it now, just wanted to check I've not missed anything).
Thanks!

Breach not pleaded, so use the Chan and Akande defence template in announcements
Edit your thread title to something more suitable like
CEL in-house court claim

Ok, have changed the title, and thanks great.
As I can see and understand it, the Chan and Akande defence is paragraph 3, found on the a Gladstones case from July (I know we don't use links here), am I just putting that paragraph as paragraph 3 of the 30 or so paragraphs of the template defence? Should I put any details pertaining to my situation?
And I am doing this on MCOL? Previously I think once the AOS had been filed, MCOL was to be treated as 'read only' - this seems to have changed now though?
Thanks!!

The Chan and Akande paragraph 3 is added into the other 9 paragraphs of the template defence by coupon mad at the top of this forum, nothing else, no changes, no details, definitely NOT 30 paragraphs. !
Its definitely a copy and paste into the defence box on MCOL, save it and submit it
Study those 8 steps in the 1st post in the defence template thread too
Its completely different advice than this time last year, dont bother with old advice prior to last August

Nice one, have submitted that now, cheers for the help!

With an issue date of 06/05/26 and having completed the AoS in a timely manner your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 08/06/26
Just do as @Gr1pr writes with no additional information and no evidence; that goes later with witness statement.
ETA - I see you have submitted now
