Apcoa parking charge Manchrster Airport
Hi,
I used a meet and greet company to park at Manchest airport terminal 2 on the 19th May 2026 as I'm disabled. I was travelling with my friend who had a stroke in our foreign hotel 2 days before we were due to fly home and was admitted into intensive care. You can imagine, I was out of my mind with worry. Her husband flew out the next day to be with her. I flew home the day after. I had airport assistance in a wheelchair through the airport but the porter just left me outside the doors on exiting the airport. I rang the number to collect my car and have it brought to me only to be told I had to make my way to the T2 West Ground floor car park. I pointed out I couldn't as my friend wasn't with me, I was in a wheelchair and had a large suitcase too. They told me to try and find a porter to push me?!
I couldn't find one and was in tears by this time. I rang them back and the gentleman said he'd come and find me. Whilst pushing me back he said I'd most probably be charged extra car parking time now. On getting in my car, I was in such a state, what with my friend being in intensive care and just being dumped outside of the airport doors when I had meet & greet but my car being in a car park which was a good walk away, on arriving home, I felt physically and emotionally drained. I totally forgot to pay the £5 fee for the parking. I've since received a parking charge for £100 but I've used the appeal set out on here by other members and sent it today. I just wanted to ask if you think it will be successful as the majority of the other people have used it when they've just driven through the drop off/pick up area. Their parking charge states that it was incurred on 'Private land' Does this make a difference, is the covered car park private land?
I can't see a situation like my own were a car was actually parked up. The charge is for not paying the valid payment though, not an overstay. I was going to appeal using my actual circumstances but they can be pretty inhuman and lacking in empathy, can't they?

If you used the airport appeal by ChirpyChicken, it will be successful
They Never cancel base on mitigating factors, just the law, Pofa2012 doesn't apply
Sorry to hear about your bad experiences there ( I always get a minibus taxi or similar, never a meet and greet, never a long stay car park like Jetpark1. )

"I just wanted to ask if you think it will be successful"It works 100% of the time, as long as you appealed as registered keeper without talking about what happened or who was driving.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
