possible way for people of britain to fight gas electric price hikes

I just had a though, we cant fight all the electric companies putting prices up, because we all obviously need electricity, and we know they will all put there prices up to about the same amount right.....

what if someone organized people in this country, and we all pick ONE just ONE company, and everyone, or the majority of people in this country all move to that supplier, and basically state we will never move unless the other companies stop price gouging us.

any comments ??

obviously this would take a log of organization and money etc, but its the only way i have thought of that the people of this country have any power against what there doing to our country.

OFGEM could do it overnight, they probably have the power, the teeth, just don't use them.
The directors of OFGEM need to be brought to a Commons select committee, aka Northern Rock.
They need a bloody good roasting.
