They were here when I moved in 15 plus years ago. One is outside and other inside lounge. Are they related.

Oh good. I've been wondering how they get cable from telegraph pole across three other houses gardens. Apparently they have their methods like connecting it to old copper wire. So yes probably best now in broadband forum, Thanks

I agree with the black two black wires one cable TV the other cable phone. I wonder if the separate grey one might be BT copper wire phone.

The grey cable appears connected to the black cable co phone line. I would think it is the line going out of the joint box to wherever the phone master socket is located.

yes. followed grey cable and does go to where the phone line goes in.
Will find out on monday 8th when they come to do fibre,0 -
Who is "they"?
Whoever installs fibre will likely do a new box / connector and hole through wall for the fibre ONT leaving that sorry mess well alone. Either overhead or possibly a dig for a duct.
The cable TV stuff looks to be surface of the ground or direct buried and vulnerable to damage.

Once you get your new Fibre connection any previous metallic connections are obsolete and redundant.
What I would do, is after a few days of your new connection working is remove all the older exsisting cables, wires and connection boxes. The offical advice may be to leave alone but I would say they are never going to be used again and are only going to deteriorate as time goes on and affect the appearance of your property.
If you do decide to remove the old plant and cables wear eye protection as those cable cleats can sometimes go with a ping when you are removing them.
Play with the expectation of winning not the fear of failure. S.Clarke0
