Morning all. Bright and sunny out so have hung out some washing.
Happy Anniversary to Peony and wishing Gers a super trip to Toronto. I'm sure it's changed since I went in 2001.
Our trip to London yesterday involved too much walking in the heat, so we ended up twice hopping on a bus. The second bus was going towards Borough so we had bar snacks in The Swan, which is vaguely part of Shakespeare's Globe; ie they won't let you sit in the side bit whilst there's a performance going on. DH didn't think much of their beer (he's an Ale person) but the bar snacks were good. We walked along to the Tate Modern but the queue for bag checking on entry at both entrances was very long so we abandoned that idea. Tried to get the Underground back from Blackfriars but the entrance was closed so we had to cross the Millennium footbridge and go in from that side. No real hardship, apart from the heat!
Loads of Arsenal supporters around London yesterday and there's a big parade of their trophies etc today.
We're video calling with Australia at 10am so must get a move on and then I'm off to a pub music session after lunch.
Look after yourselves everyone and happy Sunday.

Morning everyone
Gers - I hope you have a brilliant holiday x
Peony - happy anniversary to you and your husband.
I had little one staying on Friday night, she was a brilliant help putting my Tesco shopping away yesterday morning!
It was forecast to be the last sunny day before rain all week, so we went down to the beach with a picnic lunch. We had a lovely couple of hours and a long paddle in the sea, little one got a lot wetter than I did. Then about 3pm the sky turned grey and it was quite chilly, then a quick shower so we went to visit mam and dad in the care home. Just had half an hour until the next bus which was quite long enough for little one.
I'll be back down this afternoon and have yet more old photos to go through with mam, these ones were tucked away in the back of the hall cupboard so she won't have seen them for years.
Right must get dressed then I need to go and buy some more plants. Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all, Happy Sunday.
Have a great trip to Toronto Gers!
DGS last official match of the season yesterday, they won. No doubt they will set up a few friendlies. It's the presentation next Sat at a pub near where we lived for many years, the mums are doing a buffet. I offered to help yesterday but they said we should just come and enjoy. We had it there last year and it was good, plenty outside space too.
DH did a bbq for tea, but it's cooler today so I dont think we'll have another. We called in a nearby As6a for a few bits after the boys match so plenty options. Also got a few plants and planted them up.I was just doing that when DH called me in - he'd asked our new neighbour in so he could see what we'd done in the kitchen after we knocked some walls etc out when we refurbed before moving in. He was really interested and is a lovely & chatty young man, bet his wife wondered where he'd got to!
We watched the Champions league match later, shame about the riots in Paris after
Dog walk shortly.
Mehefin, the quilt sounds interesting. I used to make patchwork bits and pieces and still have a quilt I started in the 70's. Hope it's finished soon, and your son's wedding goes really well.
Take care all.
