UKPC 4 fines in 2 days

My daughter works near a Sainsburys and often parks in the car park, she's in and out a lot due to her job.

Sh has 4 fines, by the time I've got them they are at the $170 notice of debt recovery

Now she has email receipts for all 4 proving parking was paid

However can't appeal apparently too late according to UKPC, so is she legally obliged to pay $680 when she did nothing wrong?

In a separate note, she had one last month, that I appealed as again she had an email receipt, UKPC said because she arrived early it's invalid, but they will accept $20 in 14 days, if not goes back up to $70

How the hell do these people sleep at night?

she isn’t legally obliged to pay anything. These are invoices not fines

Are all 4 (or is it 5) claiming the same thing?

Is it a double dip issue despite paying for the full time she was in the car park?

How did you appeal one? Are you the keeper or is it her?

Looking closer, they have sent 2 fines twice, I guess another way of trucking people out of money.

The one I appealed,(online( I guess I'll pay the $20 to be rid of it.

The other 2, at debt collection stage, can't be appealed according to them in the letter, full and final payment only.

Her car, she was driving, just checked the receipts, definitely payed for parking at the time stated in the fines.

She quite often is in and out 2)3 times a day but always pays.

Her credit will only take a bashing if it gets as far as court, then she loses the case and then she doesn’t pay within 30 days.
    Debt collection is meaningless.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

    Obviously that never happens.

Impossible to get a CCJ by following our advice. Not even if she lost at a hearing (which will not happen, never gets that far).

Haven't you read the official MSE Guide to Private Parking tickets? Linked at the top of the page.

Clearly nobody here risks their credit rating as long as they don't do something daft like fail to do the (very easy) defence to a small claims form, or move house and not tell the debt crawlers to erase the old address.

But all of this is in the NEWBIES FAQS thread and also in the MSE Guide, which is in bite-size chunks that some people find an easier read.

It was checked personally by Martin Lewis himself, after I'd helped the forum team get it right last year. You can be confident he'd never put people's credit at risk.

Nobody has to pay. Not even the £20.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
