Nothing has changed. I consider the likes of Amazon and Nvidia to be 'safe' growth stocks that are within the tech category.
If that is the case, then in the future you probably need to specify that because tech stocks are generally classified as very high risk due to their extreme volatility. High growth during a high-growth period does not make them safe.

Amazon could possibly be classed as a safe tech stock but personally I’d be wary of Nvidia as that is more hyped because of AI.
If the AI bubble pops Nvidia could easily come crashing back down to a far lower level.

They're not safe stocks. Have you said when you will need the money back and what goal you need it for? You mention one year but I wasn't clear that was the total timeframe. If so, avoid equities, maybe consider a short term money market fund?

If you're only keeping money there to pay the fees, do you really need a paid for account? What benefits are you getting for the fee?
