Dubai package holiday.

Hi please can anyone help me? I have a package holiday to Dubai booked at the end of June with last min.com. I have repeatedly tried to contact them for info on whether this holiday will go ahead, but I can’t get my questions answered. It does look like they will cancel as it’s is only recommended for essential travel at the moment from the uk. Has anyone else had a holiday cancelled with them and how much notice did they give you? I would still like to go somewhere else on the same date but I just don’t know if my refund will come in time for me to rebook. If anyone can help I’d be most grateful.

You need to wait until the tour operator cancels. If you cancel, that will be disinclination to travel and you won't get a refund.

The tour operator may go ahead with the trip or may offer an alternative.

my parents had to wait until 2 weeks before for the operator to cancel.

The end of June is still four weeks away and the foreign office advice may have changed by then so Lastminute is likely to sit on it for a bit longer given that they have quite poor customer service at the best of times, and things may still change between now and then. Plus, they will also be dealing with all the people who are going away between now and when you do who they will be prioritising.
