APCOA parking charge

Hi All - we had a nightmare in March. Long story short we had a hire car booked in Newcastle but our train was cancelled in Leeds and we were unable to reach Newcastle before the hire place closed. We made our way to a branch in Leeds station (Enterprise FYI) and were lucky enough to be able to move our booking and rent a car there.

We signed the hire agreement at 1157am and were told 'take your time in the carpark to get used to the car'. So we did. We left at 1232pm (we'd been on train since 640am so needed loo in train station etc)

on 7th May we received a parking charge notice from apcoa saying Enterprise claimed we were responsible for the car from 1017am and we were being fined £85.

I appealed on the grounds we did not collect the car untill 1157 (i have the hire agreement signed, with time stamps) and were not in the car at 1017 when it was parked in the station carpark. That, so far, does not meet their threshold for appeal, and they want evidence that our train was cancelled! WHY? Whether the train was there or not, we did not sign for that car until nearly 2 hours after it was parked! Are we going to lose this???

Just appeal to POPLA with that evidence.

Nobody loses because nobody pays APCOA and no-one here cares about a 'losing' POPLA decision.

But the evidence should see it off.

    You'll never pay anyway.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Follow the guidance that @Coupon-mad has provided.

They have had their opportunity to deal with your invoice appropriately but now it will cost them to go to POPLA where they will likely lose

Either way you won’t be paying
