I am up extra early for me as I have to leave just after 6 to get to this new client, I have not slept much at all so it’s going to be a long day!
Already hot here and set to be another scorcher so I am quite glad I finish at lunch time.
Dinner tonight will be bacon egg and chips nice and easy, I’m finding I am not really fancying too much is this hot weather.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning everyone,
I’ll be thinking of you Ruby. I like the sound of your dinner tonight, I will suggest the same to my DH.I was up at 4:30am and got up so I could sit in front of the fan to cool down.
No plans for today, I am feeling like a cold is coming, so my brain is finding it hard to concentrate. I will have a think, and write a To Do List, to give me some direction.
Take care all.12 -
Good morning, thanks Ruby.
It's grey and a lot cooler here. Yesterday was hot and I worked most of the day putting plants in, they'll look nice when they've settled in. There's still a tray or two to do.
I'm getting my hair done this morning, so I'll crack on again this afternoon.I
Hope your day goes well with your new client Ruby.
Take care folks.

Morning all
Disturbed night because of the heat and when DH got up to go to work he found we'd had a leak in one of the pipes in the airing cupboard upstairs which had dripped into kitchen cupboard downstairs. Not a good start to the day. Could have been worse though.
Hairdresser coming later thank goodness as my mop definitely needs trimming and colouring.
This afternoon I have a link to my friend from Liverpool husband's funeral. A sad day x
Hope all goes well with the new family @RedRuby1231
Weather forecast says a cooler day today, doesn't feel like that at the moment
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning All
A cooler night last night as a breeze picked up around 8pm so there was a bit of air through the upstairs. Doesn't seem two minutes since I was trying to keep the house warm and now I'm trying to cool it down!
Good luck today Ruby, hope all goes well.
Hope you manage to fix the leak Chrisca.
Bet your plants look lovely Scarlet.
Once home yesterday I put together the final unit for the laundry and put everything back, the kitchen looks so much better now with all the clutter out of the way, just one unit to go on the wall so will phone my friendly builder later to see if he can put it up some time.
I had to water the garden, everything seems to have perked up this morning but forgot the hanging baskets so will do those later.
Hope you're all well, take care. XX

it’s too hot !Here in the East we hit 34 yesterday,
I went to a very hot U3A meeting, talk was on cyber security ,absolutely terrifying .Then onto lunch with old colleagues .
Today as well as another lunch with local friends I will aim to start a plan to deal with my back and hip problems ,had many bad days and nights ,can’t go on like this .
The wait for a first appointment with a back specialist at the hospital further away ( no back specialists at local hospital) is advertised as 52+ weeks on their website !! So afraid money will be spent ,no way would I be able to afford private surgery ,but if I can just get a diagnosis at least I’d know what I was dealing with .
so much for the waiting lists going down .
stay safe all12 -
Morning folks and thanks RUBY. I hope all goes well with the prospective new client and it leads to something permanent.
I had the usual wakeful night again, the hot days are lovely but not so the hot nights spent tossing and turning trying to cool down! Today it's supposed to be cooler. If so I shall get the kitchen and bathroom cleaned before the heat is forecast to return tomorrow. There will then be the usual pile of mats and towels to wash but that's the beauty of this weather, the washing soon dries.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need. I seem to have forgotten when GERS jets off on holiday but if it's imminent have a wonderful time away. Take care all, be safe x

Morning all - thanks for the start @RedRuby1231 - I hope that all goes well with your new client despite the early start.
Thanks @snoozer. Enjoy being with the family.
The exam yesterday was interesting, Higher Psychology. Both students had a laptop and an extra 30 minutes, both finished before the original time. One wrote and printed five pages of answers and the other two pages. She the two pages student, already has an unconditional offer, this was her only exam and she wasn't bothered about the result.
The day turned into wonderful sunshine and heat. The washing load dried really quickly and I even sat outside in the garden for half an hour before giving in! This morning is promising much too. I'm off to Glasgow later as I'm going to see 'The spy who came in from the cold' this evening. Ralf Little is playing lead so should be good.
I hope that everyone is able to cool down enough to bathe in the sunshine, it's been a long cold dark winter so a few days of Vit D will build us up. Take care. Hugs all round. x

Good morning
It's a bit cooler here this morning thanks to the thunderstorms last night. It was so loud even big dog jumped, they don't usually bother him.
My plan for today is to drive to the local Ads* now my eye has settled down. Only a couple of things needed so I'll just have a good mooch. It'll do me good to just get out as I'm not a very good patient and the waiting 2 weeks before I can do usual household chores is driving me mad. DH started doing chores but as I expected has tailed off now.
Anyway, enough moaning from me.
@RedRuby1231 Good luck today, hope all goes well and you have a new client.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning everyone
I seem to have been missing a few days…a combination of small children, parents and lovely weather, I spent a lot of the weekend in a beach tent with little one and little foster baby in my back garden. We didn't get as high as some of you with temperatures in the 30s, but almost…I don't know how many times little one said it was as hot as Menorca! I took her down to our nearest beach on Monday afternoon, only 5 minutes away, and we had a lovely afternoon. She was in and out of the North Sea, which was still very cold…a bit warmer as the tide went out so we walked through the warmer shallow pools.
I was down visiting mam and dad yesterday afternoon and had a nice afternoon going through mams' jewellery box and writing down who had gifted her all her treasures…among them there's a brooch and 2 little magnetic cats her dad brought home from the war for her when she was 4. I thought she seemed more settled and happier, but then she rang me last night in such a state, screaming and crying that she didn't know where she was and wanted to go home. It was awful.
I'll go down this morning as she now has a care manager who is visiting at 11. One of the carers is going to take her to church before that, which she will enjoy. …I've just rang to say to give her a £5 note to put in the collection plate. Their house is now empty and the estate agent will come on Friday to take photos and make a video.
I've still got a lot of their 'stuff' in my hallway so will try to sort through some of that before I go out, one bag is full of kitchen ware which I really don't have room for in my cupboards, but didn't want to get rid of. Right best move, I hope everyone has a good day and that your new family is nice Redruby. I also can't remember when you're going away Gers x
