@Gr1pr Makes sense now, thanks—the acronym tripped me up. I've updated the thread title and attached the redacted page.

Perhaps you should post your amended and edited paragraphs 2 & 3 below, bearing in mind that the following characters are banned from the MCOL defence box
" < >
Your proposed paragraphs definitely contain the first character, those double quotes, "
1 -
2. The allegation(s) are vague and liability is denied for the sum claimed, or at all. The delay in bringing proceedings lies with the Claimant, making retrieving material evidence difficult, which is highly prejudicial. The Defendant has little knowledge of events, save as set out below and to admit that they were the registered keeper.
3. The claimant alleged stopped/parked in a restricted zone contravention as per the Letter of Claim (LoC). The Defendant do not recollect having stopped/parked in a restricted zone and denies the claim. On dd mm yyyy, the Defendant attended a pre-booked community event hosted by the XYZ community Group at the YZ (Hall), Eddington. The Defendant’s family member was a featured speaker and operated an event stall. At the conclusion of the event, the Defendant vehicle was briefly positioned near the hall strictly for the purpose of loading event equipment and stall items. The vehicle remained stationary for under 10 minutes. It is a well-established principle of common law that briefly stopping to load or unload bulky goods does not constitute parking.

Very good but why didn't you add 'and driver' as the Template Defence tells you to?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

dodoes not recollect having stopped/parked in a restricted zone and denies the claimYour paragraph #2 seems to suggest that you were the registered keeper but NOT the driver but you then go on to state the the defendant does not recollect having stopped in a restricted zone, indicating that they were the driver. Sometimes admitting to driving (unless you definitely weren't) allows you to give a truthful first person narrative at witness statement time.

Thanks @Coupon-mad and @Le_Kirk . The situation was a bit tricky—from recollection one person drove in to load the car, but another person drove it away. That's why I used the registered keeper's details. Should I still state both the registered keeper and the driver in this case in paragraph 2?

Nope, it's down to the person who drove in.
If that was the Defendant then say so. If that wasn't the Defendant, say so!

@Coupon-mad, @Gr1pr @Le_Kirk. thanks for your support.
I received an email response from dbc legal, starting their client wishes to proceed with the claim and that the court will direct both parties to file a DQ. However, they attached a copy of the claimant's completed DQ, claiming it has already been filed before the court requested it. They also mentioned their client is prepared to settle and provided a phone number to call to discuss this.
What’s to do now, simply wait for the court DQ and will that come by email? Thanks.0 -
Yes, wait, and keep following those 8 steps that you should be studying in the defence template thread in announcements
There is no court involved at the moment, just the CNBC in Northampton, which is NOT a court !
The CNBC will post your N180 DQ document out to you, but keep checking your MCOL claim history to see when they have posted it , even though you won't be using the paperwork when it comes ! ( or doesn't arrive. )
You can submit your completed N180 DQ pdf document after the paperwork has been posted to you
If you dont understand the above, then you are nit digesting the information contained in those 8 simple steps !
