Car Park Breakdown.

At around 5.15pm my can handbrake stuck on. It was in a G24 Ltd managed car park with 90 minute parking limit. It was almost 11pm by the time the correct recovery truck arrived, but that's a whole other story. It left the car park on a flat bed truck, but fully expecting a pcn at some point. I have call times for recovery, photos of car on the recovery truck. Should I contact G24 first, or will that just save them the cost of getting my details?

Thanks all.

They will have already accessed your data from the DVLA, request is electronic. As soon as your VRM triggers a ‘contravention’ (overstay in your case), the request is on its way.

If they do send a NtK, it will need to show entry and exit photos of your vehicle. It will be interesting to see their ‘exit’ photo! 😉

I doubt you'll get a PCN if the car left on the back of a flat bed truck … but under these specific circs, why didn't you cover the numberplate? It was cargo on a truck, not being driven. No numberplate needs to be shown even on street, in THIS case.

No PCN can be issued with no exit photo.

People with broken down cars should note this. You don't have to show the VRM if a car exits on a flat bed truck.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks, I did think it would be fairly obvious, but could do without the hassle.

I did think about covering it, but forgot when it came to that time…

Shared by a few stores (Home Bargains, Farmfoods)- Worktop Memorial Avenue. It is ANPR entry/exit. I had stopped to pick up a couple of things and turns out the electric parking brake motor decided to pack in whilst the brake was on. Took photos of it on the truck as well.

Have you complained to the property agent who runs the retail park? Their name is online and/or on a small sign on site.
