companies house - default letter - overdue identity verification statement

Hi,

I am having problems with companies house identity verification.
Like many people I had quite a few problems registering my identity: see e.g.
https://www.reddit.com/r/smallbusinessuk/comments/1odxja8/companies_house_id_check_failing_i_need_to_verify/
https://www.reddit.com/r/smallbusinessuk/comments/1pwo19d/couldnt_verify_identiy_for_companies_house_using/

But I have registered and my page on Companies house has said for a while: 'Verification requirements complete' with a green tick.

I, however have now received in the post a letter entitled: 'default letter - overdue identity verification statement'

It has advice on how to verify, but it only mentions things I have already done.
I have raised a complaint, but so far nothing back.

I wondered whether others had been having similar problems. Or that my situation is an uncommon glitch.

I have spent quite a lot of time trying to find out in what way I am not verified - especially when the site says I am. There seems to be something wrong with the process.
