Use a cashback credit card to pay your rent ?

Credit cards are great as long as you pay the balance off in full each month. If you struggle with repaying in full each month, then a credit card is not for you.

Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Well depending on the scale of cashback vs the rent amounts, there might still be ways they make money (eg the vouchers may cost them £0 because you're now encouraged to buy from whatever company the voucher is for, advertising to tenant & landlord, fees if you don't meet the normal schedule, etc).

However the RISK is far higher than other cashback scenarios:

    a) here you're actually paying the cashback provider, whereas with Quidco you're only ever paying direct to the original seller.

    b) The amounts are higher, if something went wrong you presumably don't have another rent payment in your pocket while it gets sorted out.
