Evening All
I have my first spend of June to declare: £6.16 in Sainsbugs, on asparagus spears £2.10, 1kg baby potatoes 90p, spring onion 69p, peppers £1.69, and 5 bananas 78p.
This brings our June spend to £6.16/£195.30 leaving £189.14 for the rest of the month.
I am really hoping the weather cools off a bit, since it’s been too hot to eat most of the things I cook and I’m running out of inspiration. Tonight, I made yet another potato salad, which accompanied some eye-wateringly expensive steak purchased from the butcher this afternoon. (Fortunately, the Meat Fund paid for that.). We’ll eat the rest of it tomorrow or for lunch on Monday, once I’ve added a tin or two of tuna to it.

I'm late signing up for this month's challenge @JingsMyBucket, thanks for putting me down for my usual £150.
First shop of the month done yesterday:
£5.34 spent at Home Bargains
£33.68 in Lidl
Like others I am finding the new Lidl Plus offers to be poor compared to what was offered before. However, we did get a £3 off a £25 spend which helped things a bit.

Good Morning,
My first grocery spends for June have been £7.83 with the milkman and £18.52 at Lidl; these were more for top ups to cover before my larger online delivery due tomorrow. This leaves me with £253.29 to last until the end of June.
January 2025 Grocery Challenge: £220.00/£59.47

Hello everyone, a pinch and a punch and here's another month. This year seems to be speeding along.
My first spend of the month was in Sainsbugs to take advantage of some personalised money off vouchers and additional nectar points before they expire tomorrow. I topped up on a dozen tins of dog food (I now have enough for the whole month so I won't be buying any more for a few weeks), a dozen sachets of cat food (also for the dog - he likes the occasional fishy one to zhuzh up his all-in-one worker dog kibble!), two boxes of own brand cornettos and a couple of bottles of squash as the grandchildren will be over this week, 2 pints of semi skimmed milk for me and 2 pints of full fat milk to feed my kefir grains, 2 YS lamb chops and one very small YS pork roasting joint.
A total of 25.87/£150 spent.
