Many thanks @JingsMyBucket and @Suffolk_lass.
I am not going to put a figure down for June as we are on holiday self catering for a week and will undoubtedly spend money when we are out. I have also just placed an Ocado order for Wednesday which will be mostly June food.I cannot contemplate going out in this heat, that being said I have choir tonight.
The neighbours were round yesterday, 5 of them and they have not only eaten most of the rice pudding I made in the slow cooker 🤭but all our cheese and some of our wine. A good afternoon/evening though had by all.
Have a great month everyone

Thanks for the new thread @JingsMyBucket . Not certain what my budget will be yet - we’re bound to have money left over from May - so please put me down for the usual
£180
And I’ll let you know later if it needs to be amended.
That £180 covers all supermarket shopping for 2 adults. Our month will run from 1st to 30th June.

Make £2026 in 2026 - £227.48 / £600
April grocery challenge £611.55 / £620
May grocery challenge £558.34 / £550
June grocery challenge £177.79 / £5007 -
back for June with an aim of £800 please
I always feel like that’s a huge amount especially compared to some of you but it does cover everything groceries, toiletries, household, pets ,2 teenage boys😉 & multiple food intolerances which bump up costs too. I used some left over holiday spends to stock up on various offers so cupboards & freezer are currently looking pretty full though I know that won’t last.
Month starts on the 1st but I’m adding rabbit supplies & Costco - 2 trays of chicken, Heinz beans, juice & nuts bulk buys from the weekend as they won’t be used till June £116.98
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk3 -
@mandco don’t worry about your budget. It’s what works for you. I remember when our DS’s were teenagers, everything disappeared before my very eyes.
Our shopping from Ocado arrived, treated us to a pizza for lunch which was cooking whilst I was unpacking. It was delicious and saved me a job.
I bought loads of things to save me going to the shops hopefully this side of our holiday.
Milk, some in the freezer, crème fraiche, Greek yoghurts, fruit, veg, mushrooms, tomatoes, tins of b beans, washing up liquid, oats, seeded bread flour, Tom sauce, mango and ordinary chutney, tortilla chips, toothpaste, salt, bacon, jelly, golden syrup, resealable bags for the freezer, cheese, mayo, biscuits, apple sauce, coffee, ham, pudding rice, eggs and a tub of ice cream.
Much more than I usually spend
Total spent £147.08
