I'm declaring with a thankful sigh at just over £5 below my target figure - close but done! It's been a madly busy month but mostly great fun, though the last few days were far too hot to be scraping around in Bronze Age ditches on a south-facing chalky hillside! So we were "cancelled" and I spent them sweltering under the garden trees instead, trying to stay out of air-conditioned supermarkets…
Off in a mo to dig up some lovely new potatoes from the plot for dinner, and harvest a couple of courgettes, plus some blackberries & raspberries too.

we stopped our milkman just before May heatwave - will resume september - have noticed small saving & that co-op milk lasts longer … although i have switched up to the irresistible unhomogenised Cornish full fat milk … which i can report is delish with a nutty muesli on a morning after an early dog walk to beat heat … not so g8 in a cup of tea though

I'm not officially here til the 13th but I've just done a bulk buy of Fabric conditioner. This should last me a year or longer. As I bought 5L a long time ago on offer, and that's only just ran out (though I did do the odd Smol order in-between)
£20.81 to add to Bulk Buys
This should have been posted in the July thread.

Forever learning the art of frugality5 -
Declaring June at £577.88/£400. I have gone over but I do work to an annual total. Lots of expensive items needed a restock this month and we got a bulk meet order from the farm shop.
At the 1/2 year point I am £2230.09/£2500 so actually under budget.
My garden is starting to produce courgettes/green beans and the greenhouse is burgeoning with toms, cucs and peppers - none ready for picking yet but we won’t be long and that really helps with the budget. It’s a 4 shop maximum month and I will be being as frugal as I can with the hope I can claw a bit of budget back for the autumn meat delivery and the festive period.
See you over on the July thread.
