Sun tan lotions that don’t leave your skin feeling “sticky”

As the title. Every sun tan lotion I’ve tried seems to leave my skin sticky. Can anyone recommend a high factor lotion that doesn’t do that?

I’d prefer a low cost one but I’m now at the point that this is now more important than price.

I'm more concerned with the UVA performance - it has to be 5*.

Boots Soltan is 5* and they have a large range, including some with insect repellent, once, sensitive and some that are 'mist'.

Protect and moisturise spray is the one I use.

I don't find it sticky at all but 'sticky' is subjective.

IIf It goes on white - sticky. If it goes on clear - not sticky.

Altruist spray is definitely not sticky, and it’s as low cost as the skin cancer surgeon who developed it could make it - he was very shocked to discover how many of his patients didn’t use sunscreen at all because of the price. So no fancy perfume or packaging, no expensive advertising, just word of mouth from converts like me. I’m a (grey) redhead, blue eyes, melanoma survivor. 2 x 200ml factor 50 spray is £13.25 from their website. There’s also cream, trigger spray and a new roll on for children to apply themselves, get them in the habit early!

It’s on Amazon and I believe they sell it in Sainsburys now too.

Riemann P20 is a clear liquid rather than a cream, so it's a lot less sticky.

About £6-7 for a 150ml bottle which lasts ages.

Being a man, I hate the feeling of wiping greasy sticky creams and lotions all over myself.

This stuff is in a spray bottle, clear, waterproof, doesn't leave any residue and dries in seconds.

You can get it up to factor 50. I've used it for years and won't ever use anything else as long as they keep making it.

Just pump about 4 or 5 squirts into up each arm. For my face / neck I just pump about 5 pumps into my hands and quickly "wash my face" with it. Done!

They tend to be more on the expensive side but a lot of autistic and/or ADHD people with sensory sensitivities swear by sunscreen developed for the Korean market ('K-beauty brands') for being effective without feeling sticky.

[From what I've read most of them don't leave a white cast on darker skin but if that is something that would bother you, you'd probably want to check what other people with a similar skin tone have said about any you're considering buying before committing to it.]
