Whether you’re a football fan, a casual tournament or someone who can’t stand football, YOU could win a grand all thanks to the football over the summer!

This summer, Fix Radio is launching The Trade Nations Sweepstake, giving 48 listeners the chance to represent one of the countries competing in the Men’s FIFA World Cup 2026.

You might end up backing one of the favourites. You might get a total outsider. Either way, you’ll become that country’s Fix Radio ambassador for the tournament, and if your adopted nation goes all the way, you could win £1,000.

How it works

We’re looking for 48 tradespeople to take part.

Each selected listener will be randomly assigned a country in the Men’s FIFA World Cup 2026. Once you’ve got your team, you’re their ambassador for the summer.

That could mean giving us facts about France, tactical insight on Algeria, or just explaining why you’ve suddenly become deeply emotionally invested in Brazil.

You don’t have to be a football expert. In fact, that might help.

What can you win?

The prizes are:

• Winning country ambassador: £1,000
• Runner-up country ambassador: £500
• Third-place country ambassador: £250
• Most Passionate Fan: £250

The Most Passionate Fan prize will be decided by a Fix Radio panel of judges, so even if your country gets knocked out early, you can still win by throwing yourself into it properly.

How to enter

• Text FIX SWEEPSTAKES to 81400 between Saturday 23rd May and 09:00 on Monday 1st June.
• Entries will only be open during this period, so keep listening and get involved when you hear the instructions on air.

What happens next?

We’ll make the draw after 9am on Monday 1st June

If you’re one of the lucky 48 listeners selected, we’ll contact you to let you know which country you’ll be representing for the tournament.

Then it’s over to you. Get behind your team, follow their progress, and show us why you’re their number one trades ambassador!

Terms and Conditions

General Terms

• By entering this competition, entrants agree to the Fix Radio Competition Terms and Conditions and the Fix Radio Privacy Policy
• Fix Radio reserves the right to alter, amend or cancel this competition without prior notice due to circumstances beyond its control.
• The use of 3rd party Apps, other competition websites or similar systems to take part in this competition is prohibited and may result in disqualification, even after a contestant has been notified as a winner.

Entry Period

• Text entries for this competition will be between 09:00 on Saturday 23rd May and 09:00 on Monday 1st June.
• Entries received outside of the entry period will not be counted.

How to Enter

• To enter, listeners must text FIX SWEEPSTAKE to 81400
• Texts will be charged at the standard network rate
• One entry per person, additional entries will be discarded

Player Selection and Team Assignment

• After entries close at 09:00 on Monday 1st June, Fix Radio will draw 48 players at random from all valid entries received during the entry period.
• Each selected player will then be randomly assigned one team competing in the Men’s FIFA World Cup 2026.
• The team assignment is final and cannot be changed.
• Each selected player will act as the ambassador for their assigned team throughout the tournament. This may involve being called by Fix Radio in order to talk about their team.
• Fix Radio will contact selected players using the contact details provided at the time of entry.
• If Fix Radio is unable to contact a selected player, or the selected player does not respond within a reasonable period, Fix Radio reserves the right to remove that player from the competition and select an alternative player from the valid entries.

Prizes

• The £1,000, £500 and £250 team prizes will be awarded based on the final results of the Men’s FIFA World Cup 2026.
• The player assigned the team that wins the Men’s FIFA World Cup 2026 will win £1,000.
• The player assigned the team that finishes as runner-up in the Men’s FIFA World Cup 2026 will win £500.
• The player assigned the team that finishes third in the Men’s FIFA World Cup 2026 will win £250.

Most Passionate Fan Prize

• An additional prize of £250 will be awarded to the player who a Fix Radio panel of judges decides is the Most Passionate Fan.
• The Most Passionate Fan prize will be decided by a Fix Radio panel of judges.
• All judging decisions relating to the Most Passionate Fan prize are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
