Cooling towers???

Ignoring my own advice from my post above (and not waiting to buy a used one in the autumn 😂) I've just ordered a portable split unit from HeaterShop.
In principle I should be able to use it for cheapish winter heating as well as summer cooling.
I'll let you know how I get on!

Like you, I hate the heat.
I’m sitting on my bed while typing this and have 2 fans going. They are the cheap ordinary type which just move the air around. They don’t really help if the temperature and humidity are high as they have been recently. Today is cooler though 😺
We have 2 of those bulky portable air conditioning units which we bought when we had a business with a shop front. They work well but are noisy and you have to find somewhere to vent the “elephants trunk” hose. Storage can be a problem unless you have a suitable cupboard
My other half bought a Dyson air cooler last year. It was expensive but very good, it actually cools the air. Highly recommended if you can afford it.1 -
do you know which Dyson it is?

If you want to know how I'm getting on with my portable split, I have a thread about it here.
