Morning again - it's a lovely morning out there, hope it stays fine..
Dd is calling in after school drop off to collect her birthday present, it's her birthday next week and they'll be away,
I was going to visit one of my housebound friends this morning but she rang last night to cancel till next week. That suits me in a way, as I have plenty to do here.
Everything is shooting away in the garden including the weeds, and there's containers in the backyard to sort out, so there's plenty to do.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

DH has the day off today so he is coming with me shopping. I swear he takes longer to get himself ready than I do, and he's got less hair than me to coiffure!!
Looks to be a lovely day out there today and, yes, @ScarletRibbons my garden is livening up nicely too. I found a plant growing yesterday and didn't recognise it so used my app to see what it was and it turns out it's a poppy so thanks to the birdie who probably left it behind as it's growing like a weed but I love poppies so win win.
Hope everyone has a good day and don't get sunburnt! x

Morning all, thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons. Today is still grey and damp though it's certainly milder.
The invigilation was fine yesterday. The student had extra time and finished an hour before the original end time, not sure if that's a good or bad sign. It was physics so can't tell. I collected the two big bags of meds (creams and potions) from the vending machine - my GP has given me two of everything. Never mind fridge Tetris, I had to juggle and jiggle them into a bedside drawer.
This morning the grass mower man is coming, it's amazing how much it's grown in three weeks. He'll also plant out the new clematis and rose. My usual gardener woman is still nursing a sore hand and hasn't been for ages.
Once he's gone I've got a bag of rubbish to take to the tip and then board the bus for Glasgow. My nephew has some business at his office in Glasgow so we're meeting up for an overnight visit. My hotel room price was so expensive, must be because of the bank holiday. His is being paid for by the business.
I hope that all are well or mending, pain free and ready to enjoy some warmth, or even heat. Take care all.

Thank goodness for half term holidays - just need a break from having to think about work and exams along with everything else. No plans to go away, think it’s going to be hit (can’t believe I’m saying that!) plus I need to spend some time in the garden.
I’ve also been gifted a large box of coloured leather scraps so busily researching what I can do with them with limited specialist tools.Just off out with Bdog in the forest before it gets warmer
Take care all

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
It's damp and gloomy here but quite humid, hoping for some sunshine later. I have today and Monday off for half term, my first job is to go and get some new front tyres as advised on the MOT. I'm sure it's the speed bumps that wear the insides of tyres.
I have the allotments to visit, some painting to start (maybe) and taking friends out for dinner for a belated 60th birthday treat later.
Well done on the bargains Ruby, does DD have a date yet?
Enjoy meeting up with your nephew Gers.
Have a good Friday, take care. XX
