Phone charger compatibility
I managed to crack the screen on my phone during Aston Villa's Europa League final win last night, and as it's stopped getting Android updates anway I thought I'd look for a replacement. The current phone has fast charging and come with a 68W charger, the new one I'm considering doesn't come with a charger at all but has a maximum rate of 30W. Is there any issue using the 68W charger with the new phone? I realise it won't be as fast as it is with my current phone, but will the charging rate be throttled to the maximum that the phone permits?
If it is an issue then I'll buy a new 30W charger (I also have an older 10W charger that I can use temporarily if I can't use the 68W one).

There is no issue using a charger with a higher wattage, the phone will only use what it needs.

This. Anything above 15w needs the device and the charger to negotiate the power draw with the charger. Some earlier higher wattage chargers used non-standard charging protocols to charger at a higher rate, but these generally fall back to 5w if they do not see the intended device. Totally safe to use a 68w, 100w, or even a 240w charger to charge a phone.

Great, thanks to both of you, I thought that would be the case but I decided it was best to check before going ahead.
