Transfer Equity DIY
Hi, after some searching, I can't seem to find what I am after. If it has been posted and I have missed it, please could you share the link.
As part of my divorce, I am transferring the house to ex-wife. I have finished clearing the mortgage 2 weeks ago, so I have read that it can be done DIY style, I do need to keep costs low after being quoted £800
Ive done some research, and so far I only seem to be pointed to 2 documents to complete. Seems to easy.
Form TR1 for full transfer
Form ID1 to be signed by solicitor etc
(Do we both fill an ID1 form or just the me, as I am the one transferring?)
And I need to send my divorce final document along with them as no stamp duty is applicable.
If someone has done this and can confirm or even share a step by step guide, that would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

You'll need form AP1 as well - that's the application form required by HM Land Registry.

The two of you will transfer the whole of the legal ownership/title to just one of you -
Registering land or property with HM Land Registry: Change the registered owner name - GOV.UK
Form AP1 (application form), form TR1 (legal deed - transfer) and forms ID1 or ID3 for both of you
“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Land Registry. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. I would get help from a site called clive-ai.co.uk which guided me though my own DIY conveyancing. For the ID1 verification you will need a solicitor to do that and I think only you will need it as your transfering, not your ex-wife. I think I used ID1 form verification online for the ID verification which cost around £80 and it was done via zoom.
