need credit card but poor credit history

need help to improve my credit history, is there any credit card company would give me a card.

try your bank if you have a good reltionship with them or
vanquis or barclays initial... these have huge APRs but it wont matter as long as you pay in full each month

thanks, i'm with halifax, and my last bank charge was nearly 6 months ago, so don't suppose they would give me a card. I will try barclays and vanq.

I would try halifax as they may give you a card. You could be very suprised I would go onto your internet banking and have a look to see what deals they have going.

Failing that these are the cards you could go for:

- Capital One Classic
- Vanquis
- Barclaycard Initial
- Halifax Classic
- Aqua

Also, have you actually seen your credit report? Could it be as bad as you think.
