New to ii Platform

I have recently transferred from HL to ii, which saves me quite a lot in fees per year. Obviously changing from one platform to another is a bit frustrating as you try to get used to the new system. I remember changing from Windows to Mac and initially regretting it until I got used to the changes. However one of the biggest disappointments for me on ii is the lack of a % Yield column for all of your investments. I invest specifically to generate income and find this function almost impossible to live without. I know that you can click on each individual investment and go to the Morning Star information but this is very time consuming. Does anybody know if ii plan to introduce this feature or am I just missing it somehow?

Low cost investment platforms are rarely the best place to do research. If you were happy with HL, then you can generally continue to access their information. Trustnet appears to have this column, for example https://www.trustnet.com/fund/ia-unit-trusts-and-oeics/?norisk=true&PageSize=25 and you can probably use its portfolio feature to build a table of your funds for future reference. It's possibly not the most useful feature as it is a backward looking metric expressed relative to the current unit price.

It is surprising that the X-Ray feature ii gives you (via Morningstar) will show you the P/E ratio, and even Price/Cashflow Ratio and Price/Book Ratio, for your top 10 holdings (and total return performance over various timespans), but not the yield, as far as I can tell.

All my investments are on ii but I do all my tracking on HL watchlists. I switched from HL to ii several years ago but I keep a £50 cash balance at HL and they've never challenged me.

I tend to keep a note of yields in my monitoring spreadsheet, collecting them from HL or Morningstar around every quarter.

Thanks all. As suggested, I have continued to use my HL account for research and some other data. Will also start my own quarterly spreadsheet to monitor yields.
