More or less the same criteria as previous years, with the qualifying period for this year having already passed so if you didn't qualify you've already missed out. Will be interesting to see how having VM accounts eligible from next year changes things in future.

Think I got it last year just because I had a FlexPlus account and paid the monthly fee last year.

However looks like they’ve added on if you have a flexplus you also need the £100 savings this year. Annoying.

There’s always been a requirement for savings, alongside a current account etc.

As friolento says, you've always needed savings. These were last year's conditions:

I presume "payments out" include internal transfers as they're not qualified like payments in. Looks like MSE are seeking clarification on this point.

The easiest way is always to just leave a couple of quid in and buy 2-3 single carrots every month at a quiet time, ideally with a supermarket that does the labels for you before you get to the till. It takes me 2-3 minutes and costs as little as 1-2p per item. I sometimes treat myself to a banana if I have a nectar points offer.

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I received an email earlier this morning which confirmed I met all the conditions and to expect the £100 Fairer Share payment between 10th and 30th June 2026.

I found the easiest way to transfer in one £500 from another bank then transfer out £250 twice.

If it works then yes that is a good option - but I was commenting on the point that MSE were seeking official clarification if this counts, and it's less of a risk, until confirmed at least, to just do a little spending
