Bit confused about fixes and EV Tariffs (Octopus)

Got a quick one to check, hopefully is simple…

I’m with Octopus and gas is fixed to Dec 2026, however my electric tariff is IOG which I think is variable. I can’t see a fix EV tariff on Octopus; is it possible to get this type fixed or am I stuck on the variable?

There definitely was an IOG fix available in April; I switched to it from variable IOG.

"Intelligent Octopus Go 12M Fixed April 2026 v1" is still showing as available here:

    https://octopus.energy/smart/intelligent-octopus-go/

If I recall correctly, I visited that webpage while signed into my account and switched to the fix from there via the "am I eligible" button.

(I decided a year of 8p/kWh off-peak was worth it, under the circumstances.)

Ooh thanks for this, I’m looking on the app, so maybe I need to try on a laptop or web page instead. Just mindful the cap is going up, so think fixing the electric on IOG might be wise. I’ll check it out, encouraging you have done it!

Be aware that the automated sign-up system gave me a whole lot of info about starting on Flexible, then having to link my car or charger and conduct a test charge. All the stuff you do as a brand-new IOG customer.

In practice everything moved swiftly along without anything changing (or me having to do anything) and I received a later email to confirm that the switch had completed successfully.
