Parking Ticket - Insufficient Evidence?

Hi all,

I am refusing to pay a parking ticket based on the evidence being insufficient. The rule that I allegedly broke was that I supposedly parked in a bay which is marked with a blue line in front of it. (These are for vehicles with a valid Fed-Ex permit only).

As you can see from the photos attached, the parking warden did not photograph the blue line in front of the bay I parked in, which I imagine should be critical to their basis/case for levying a fine against me.

The photos do show a blue line in front of adjacent bays, but not the bay I parked in.

Would really appreciate some advice as to what you think my chances are of the legal firm quietly dropping the case and not taking this to court.

They haven't sent the letter before court yet.

I doubt that it was a fine, magistrates issue fines

Which private parking company claimant are involved. ?

Check the Moorside Legal letter to see if its a shorter debt collector letter, or the later but longer LBC letter

You can ignore debt collection letters

IF its the longer one, the actual LBC letter, respond with the LoC response template to Moorside by email

Then await the Money Claim, receiving a Money Claim does not mean that it will go to an actual hearing in your local civil court

Yep, read a few Moorside LBC threads.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Those photos don't help their claim what so ever, in fact they appear to have been purposely taken to show no contravention at all!

Or ignore. Nothing happens if you ignore LBCs. They will still make a claim. Or not make a claim.

Can't find a claim that has gone all the way to a hearing with Moorside and PCS? Have a Google.
