security

As a Appointee for partner, that has only been required in the last year. This relates to UC review.

Already got caught out with review & uploading documents, as I did them all on my account. Even though it was clear in the files which account related to who, had to re-upload Mrs to her UC account.

When it came to phone call & this is the bit that has me wondering.

Despite it was me talking to them they wanted Mrs security details to go through security. Now thankfully I know them.

Just made me wonder as many appointee's may not know security details if there has been a change over time or person dealing with them.

End of the day. My thought is that appointee should be taken through their security, so they know they are talking to the appointee?

Thoughts?

In most financial services, and UC seems no different in this context, the service provider will take the individual through security and then ask the individual if they permit speaking with the third party.

I accept that having an officially recognised Appointee is a bit different from that scenario.

Either way, it doesn't seem correct that an Appointee has the security information and provides that for the individual to access service in the role of Appointee.

I wonder how security is processed if an individual is supporting a.n.other on the basis of LPA?

As far as banks go LPA will have their own security questions. Well we do.
