Good morning
Dull and cloudy here, rain expected later, although yesterday's rain didn't appear.
OH took me shopping yesterday as I wanted to get out, and there was a few bits we needed. I had a lovely chat with a lady outside Ald* with a greyhound, dogs do it for me everytime.
Speaking of OH, this will make you laugh. He told me yesterday the vacuum wasn't picking up. Now, our vacuum cleaner has various functions, switch on then choose either hard floor or carpet. Simple eh? no, he just switched on and expected it to work. Bearing in mind we have had this vacuum cleaner for 2 years, you can tell how much he uses it. I can see I'll have a lot to do when my 2 weeks are up.
Last night we had pork chops, his choice, tonight will be chicken in a garlic and herb coating, with chips (jacket potato for me) and coleslaw.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all, it's another changeable day of sunshine and showers here, not cold but not especially warm either. My fingers are crossed the Bank Holiday weather will turn out to be as good as is being forecast - I'm not going anywhere but it would be nice to have a fine spell to end the month. I seem to be in a rut and I'm sure a good dose of sunshine would change that.
It's bathroom clean today, towels wash to follow, then I'll have a walk out to post a birthday card and return two books to the Little Free Library. While I'm out I may as well pop into the Co-op for next week's TV guide and some paracetamol, other than that no shopping needed unless I spot any YS bargains. Tea tonight is scampi with salad and the remains of a tub of leftover pesto pasta. Last night's veg curry was OK but I don't think I'll be in a hurry to make it again; it's one redeeming feature was that it used up lots of odds and ends. 😁
Right, coffee break over so I'll leave you all with wishes for a good day. Take care, 'see' you tomorrow. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.5 -
Hi everyone,
For the first time in a while I feel more energetic and less achy. I hope it continues. I was put on some BP medication yesterday. I was taken off a different one last year because I developed angioedema which is swelling of the lips and soft tissues in the mouth. The new one says it can also be a side effect and is also.more likely to happen if you've had it before. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't.
The new fridge arrived - Steve did all the transfer of food etc, he's also vacuumed upstairs. He's not perfect but when I read about your husbands Remmie and Izzy I thank my lucky stars. I'm also probably a much more horrible person than you are because I've always refused to do all the housework even when I was a stay at home mum. I did do more than half but told him I was the nanny and wouldn't do all the housework as well.
Dp1, I'm so sorry your mum has deteriorated so fast it must be so hard for you.
Have a good day.
