Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, hope you enjoyed your trip away.
Sounds like you had a good time Gers.
It's still overcast and showery, hoping for some sunshine later. I got soaked yesterday when I went to collect some bark chippings after work, then had to go to the allotment to put it in one of the raised beds before I put compost in.
Once home I remembered the car is going for it's first MOT today so had to hoover it out and take the little one's seat out. Anyway, fingers crossed it passes.
Hope all goes well at the Dr snoozer.
Is your DMum any more settled dp1?
That's a lot of plants Allie.
There's a strike by some staff from school today so it's closed to pupils but we have a busy day ahead, planting the bedding plants in pots will be the main one for me, it won't take long as there won't be any children to help!
Hope all those missing from here are ok, hope to hear from you soon.
Take care. XX

Morning SCARLET and all to follow. Hope you had a nice little breakaway.
Feels much warmer this morning but of course the inevitable light rain is forecast. They were wrong about the thunderstorms yesterday, they didn't happen, but we did have intermittent light showers.
I've just been taking advantage of an offer on Co**on Traders and ordered some new white t. shirts as my current ones have seen better days, so they can hit the rag bag before they jump in themselves. I hope they are their usual good quality.
The cheese hamper I ordered duly arrived yesterday, well packed with ice packs, so that is now in the fridge awaiting DS's birthday. I am really pleased with it, the cheese truckles are much bigger than I expected, though the chutneys are not as big!
I am dithering as to whether to go into town today as stocks of some fridge things are dwindling and it's doubtful they will survive until the w/e shop. Plus I have two things to post, which I really should do. Must make the effort.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for those in need of them. Take care all, be safe x

Morning again, I'm back after a nice couple of days in York. The weather was mixed, but we weren't bothered. We've got waterproofs so stayed dry.
We walked miles, talk about 10.000 steps, we've certainly got our steps in over the last 2 days! It was a lovely change.
However, now back to reality. Some gardening must be done, the garden seems weedy and the hedge needs cutting, we'll try and get a bit done today.
Hope you're doing all right Remmie, keep.Mr R up to the mark, floors don't clean themselves.
Dp1, it's hard to see your parents deteriorating isn't it - my mother was still all right in that way when she died, but my dad lived till he was 95 and was a very difficult man to deal with. Thoughts to you.
Thoughts also to anyone else who is not well or has poorly relatives.
Take care folks.

Morning all
Looks damp here though we’re due 25C+ over the weekend which will be great for the BH.
Almost finished setting up DM and DFs new laptop last night - was easy actually. Will need to try and get all their photos extracted from the dead one at some point. Today I might plant some baskets up, and the lawn mower needs the spark plug cleaning and had a fuel leak which I may or may not be able to fix. DM has treatment at the local oncology centre but hopefully DF will take her as it’s local.
The weeds and hedges have grown so much but I don’t know if I can do hedges as I think there may still be nests?!Already sounds like a lot to do so I’d better get up!
take care allAA

Morning all - thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons.
The weather yesterday was just awful, it rained and rained and rained all blooming day. Today looks to follow suit. Invigilation was lengthy, so many students now have extra time. The two doing Advanced Higher had an extra 45 minutes on top of their three hour exam. On the way home I bought an avocado to add to my weird egg mixture and also added in a wee dollop of mayo to smooth out the tang of yoghurt.
This morning I've got an appointment with the practice nurse and then later on one with the GP. Not well planned but I can live with it. I've taken an M&S concoction out of the freezer, a Tom Kerridge one that that I want to try. It also frees up some space in the freezer as it's rammed.
Hugs all round, I hope that Wednesday is good to everyone, friends and families. xx

Bright and sunny here for now but rain due again later, I have a wash in the wm but it may have to go on the airer. I am off to mums later to cook her a couple of dinners there are a couple of things in her freezer that need using so will cook them today.
Dogs to be walked this morning and a few admin jobs to do and this afternoon I want to get the steam cleaner out and do the painted wooden bits and skirtings up the stairs, ours always get mucky with the dogs coming and going so I will try the steam cleaner on them.
Dinner tonight will be jacket potatoes with various fillings and salad nice and easy.

Gers hope the appts go well, & that is a long time invigilating ( & sitting exams) Enjoy your meal out Izzy.
Nothing exciting on the cards today. We did some shopping yesterday, retail park and Al*i so freezers stocked up- not that it seems to last long! I rebooked my Morries order for later in the week and took quite a few things off.
Right, I shall wish you all a good day, take care.

Morning all from a soggy Mehefinland,
been a full on few days. Yesterday mostly taken up with interviewing fora new head teacher at the primary school. All morning nad then an afternoon Governing Body meeting to ratify the appointment. A quick dash home to do the nags and then out again for a performance review of the new council clerk. Phew!!
Lots of deliveries of plants etc for my lady- she hasn't had a proper garden for years and is taking over mine- well so it seems lol. Have yet to see her getting her hands dirty though - think I've become the labourer lol.
She is cracking on with making the quilt for DS wedding present- time is getting short now as it is quite a complicated design and very time consuming. She assures me it will be done so I just keep quiet -
been clearing out some of the old kitchen stuff which is either unused or outdated.which included a George Forman grill and a stand mixer with a blender which I think came from Timothy Whites so it must be at least 40 years old.! It still workied but struggled a bit - tired like me I expect 🤣 My recycling guys took it yesterday with out comment!
Right, plants to see to, so I'll wish you all well. Hugs and spoons as always

Morning everyone,
It's dry at the minute but forecast showers again. The weather is meant to be lovely over the weekend, not as hot as some of you will be but 20 degrees is hot for here.
I have coats belong mam and dad in the washing machine so I'll hopefully get them outside later. Camelot and Izzy thank you for asking but mam isn't any more settled. She's still trying to 'escape' out the front door and really doesn't know where she is or why a lot of the time, she frequently asks if she lives there now. Ask her a question about when she was a little girl though and she remembers everything. She now has a care manager who is going to see her next week, I'll be there with her. I've already spoken to her as has the manager so she knows what to expect.
Today I'm going down to their house to finish packing up everything from the kitchen, the furniture will go next Monday then it will be put on the market. I have a pile of 'stuff' in my hallway DD brought up for me yesterday.
Little one and little foster baby are coming up for a couple of hours after she has been to after school dance club , so no doubt I'll be getting a performance.
Hope everyone has a good day x
