Go for it that payrise would really help and you would have more time for you instead of working which cannot be a bad thing.,

Wow its been a while. Sadly I didn't get either job. I had interview for one but found out from a colleague that they already had someone in mind. Feedback was positive though. Keeping an eye out though for any other potential jobs.
Finances are a bit up in air. Last months overtime didn't all go through which is annoying. But will be in this months pay, along with backdated payrise. So expecting a lump sum. Have to wait for them to go up next week to know what working with.
Sadly had this awful flu/covid and spent so much money on medication, tissues and cough sweets/medicine. Who knew was so expensive being ill. GP has given me an inhaler to help with the cough that's lingering.
Also had a poorly cat, which led to medication and changing of food to one for sensitive digestion. Costs a bit more but she seems much happier with it and settled down again. Managed to get it with 20% off for bulk purchase so have a 6 month supply.
SW hasn't been going well, decided to bite the bullet and start weight loss medication again. Trying to offset the expense with saving on SW & food shopping/eating out. Lost my football mojo as well so decided to redirect those funds towards it as well. I know I need to get my weight back under control as feel better when eating well and moving more. With that in mind I also bit the bullet and purchased my parking permit for the beach for my walks. Need to go once a week on average to get my money back but doing well at keeping that up since being poorly. I know I will make up for it in spring/summer months but want to use it when I can during autumn/winter. I might sit down and work out how many hours need to be at beach to get money back and start tracking it.
One of things I really also need to get on with is vinted for selling clothes/shoes. I also want to put some items on fb marketplace as well.
Really need to get my spending back under control and stop the impulsive purchases. I have been looking at potentially moving but reality is that until I clear my debts its not an option. So need to get working on that whilst doing some small DIY jobs.
I have no plans this weekend so going to sit down and look at my spending last few months to help me recalibrate. I know alot of it has been me making poor choices due to being poorly or tired from overtime. Struggling to find myself a balance.

lovely to see you. I hope you continue to get over the nasty flu/covid bug - sounds like you had it bad.
Beach walks sound great. Do you have a flask you can take with you to warm you up over the Autumn/Winter months?

Thanks its just a cough now really, GP gave me an inhaler to try as said it sounds more dry/tickly but had it 4 weeks.
I do have a flask actually, thats a good plan. Need to find my gloves out as well, as wind can be quite nippy.
Hope you are doing OK

Good to see you back, sorry to hear about the job and you & your cat being poorly.
The beach walks sound like a great idea though, as does offsetting the jab costs where possible.
Be kind to yourself, you'll get back on track.
