Well it's been a while and life is still as hectic and stressful as it was. I haven't been doing that great on my debt busting but it hasn't got any worse. So thats something.

The one thing I am doing well is no takeaways or fast food. Mostly because I am following SW and determined to stick to it.

Work is still as busy as ever, overtime quietened down but now its picking up again. Should help with my bank balance.

My cleaner has also been off work during school holidays and I am using it as a time to get myself back into good routine. Hopefully this will then be one less expense going forward. I may still do occasional deep clean every 6 months or something. But my dads cleaner offers this service.

Food shopping budget has been taking a hit with the sw plan and healthier eating. I am trying to plan more and find low cost options. I did well initially with shopping from freezer but struggling in this weather as don't really fancy spag bol or chilli.

Still no news on the payrise, but trying to decide whether to go for a job which would be a promotion. Just don't know if I want the added stress that comes with the responsibility. But the extra money would sure be good.

Football season has started, being selective about which away games we want to go to. Getting too old for this haha!

Dads move has come to standstill as his seller died and now going through probate. Be glad when he has moved and stops pestering me.

Anyway I'll be back later with balance updates.

Signature updated. August's loan payment or interest hasn't happened yet. So car loan is going to go down a bit more.

Credit Card only the standard £50 a month direct debit.

So thought I would go and have a look at what I have spent in july and August that was extra or unplanned.

    • New fan for heatwave
    • 3 month supply of cat food - now saving monthly for this
    • Two together railcard for away days
    • Train ticket to London for August
    • 12 week countdown on sw - need to save for this going forward from spending money
    • Contents insurance
    • Root canal at dentist
    • Costco renewal
    • Train tickets for London in September

Alot of these should be saved for in sinking fund going forward. But that had been wiped due to loan booboo. So overtime has basically paid for all the extras. Hopefully now that can go in savings for sinking fund.

Good to see you back 💕

Life happens and at least you can identify where spending has occurred, thank goodness for overtime eh? It's been a budget saver for me this year!

Thanks! I am trying to plan and budget better for life but it seems like its constantly changing.

Overtime is on the up again, going to be a while before we get new people and even then have to train them up

I am in process of applying for 2 new jobs, both are a 5-6k payrise a year. So would help massively cover the loss of overtime and be a guaranteed income. I like the sound of job 2 better but either would be ok. Wish me luck.
