Judgement by default even when replied to claim
i have received a judgement letter today even when i submitted the acknowledgment on MCOL website 2 days after receiving the claim letter
i did not file a defence as I was not aware or was not informed i had to do it straight after acknowledging the claim
Please help to move forward and try get this ccj removed from report and history

But maybe there could be negotiation with CEL about the amount.
Sadly it was an awful mistake not to defend. You don't get a reminder! You had a claim form which told you what you had to do & by when.
Don't suppose you meet the means test for Help With Fees? If yes, it's a no brainer to apply to set it aside.

No i dont meet means test so fee for set aside is higher than settlement of 299
