I re-install windows and wipe the drive for all used machine anyway. I just don't trust any reseller.

I’ve used CEX for years without issue. The customer service is excellent with the advantage of physical shops.
I’ve found iPads to be pricey from CEX but a lot of the other stuff is decent value and don’t forget the 5 year warranty which actually is worth the paper its written on.0 -
You can pick up a Windows 11 Mini/USFF PC for around £110. 27" monitor price is up to you. New prices for FHD/QHD 1080p/1440p from around £70 or from around £110 for 4k(2160p/2560p).
Wireless keyboard and mouse if you so choose.

So I bought a dell AIO from ebay for 190 looked OK except casing slightly damaged and worked for a couple.of days before it started freezing up.
Only a total power off and on would fix.it then 5 mins later it froze again
So I'm.sending back for a refund.
Also decided to go with laptop now
Bit worried about refurbished after this experience.

+1 for Morgan Computers. They've been around for a long time doing ex office refurbs.

I'm quite sure that no one here recommended that you buy an AIO. :) Did you give any thought to maintenance? Did it come with a warranty? What happens when outside the warranty? That you have to lug the whole thing to a shop somewhere?
Mini PC are more user friendly. Easy to change RAM and storage if need be. Easier to deal with during and after warranty and more monitor choices as you wanted a large screen.
I literally have not ever purchased a new laptop nor PC for myself. All have lasted a minimum of nine years thus far. Don't buy cheap rubbish. Buy high quality, cheaply.

Why an all-in-one? A monitor and SFF/Mini PC would make far more sense and almost always represents better value for money.

Occasionally, AIO from CEX could be cheaper than SFF/ mini PC with similar spec…
Example
Acer C22-1800 AIO/i3-1305U/8GB DDR4/512GB SSD/24"/W11/B £1300 -
I Agree all in one was a bad choice. Also using ebay was a bad choice.
