No Responses to Appeals - now have solicitors letter

parking notice issued by PCS.

Appealed within timeframe, but passed onto Debt Recovery Plus.

Appealed to DRP, who confirmed that thye had given the case back to PCS for them to respond; still np response.

Solicitors letter received, appealed on grounds that PCS have not responded within timeframe and no further communication from them; still no response.

Now have final letter from solicitors demanding payment.

So, having met all deadlines for appeals, no response has been received from anyone and have ended up with a solicitors final demand.

Everything Ive read suggests that if PCS have not responded to my appeal within 1 month, then I could safely assume that they will not pursue the matter.

Thoughts very welcome.

Ignore the debt collectors letters etc, study post 4 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum

    Name the solicitor involved

Post a redacted picture of the solicitors letter, but no personal information or details, no reference number or VRM details, leaving the dates showing

Which 'PCS'? Full name please & solicitors?

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

PCS not responding doesn’t automatically cancel the charge, unfortunately. Debt Recovery Plus letters are usually just escalation. Keep everything in writing and check whether a formal appeal rejection was ever issued. If it goes further, it should come as a proper Letter Before Claim before any court action.

As a matter of interest how much did they (PCS) state in your initial Notice to Keeper? I've seen a good number from PCS over the £100 POFA 2012/private parking single Code of Practice maximum threshold,£120 from AM Parking for instance.

Some may disagree but the Single Code goes into some detail on the mandatory data required for the processing of a first stage appeal. It might be worth a Subject Access Request (SAR) to ascertain if they've even attempted processing!
