Smart Parking claim via DCB Legal
So today I have had the claim form from HM Courts and Tribunal Services come through of a parking ticket I received 3 Years ago I tried to appeal it with smart parking as soon as they sent the ticket (08/05/23)but they threw it out.
I parked in a disabled bay with my aunt and we displayed her blue badge we were in the shop for 30 minutes I stupidly didn’t realise that blue badge holders also have to pay at Said Carpark
Should I pay the fine or should I pay the original amount. I’m unsure of how to go forward. I’ve tried logging in on money claim using the claim no. And password but it won’t let me for some reason.

Post the Issue date from the top right of the claim form below

You will be defending, not paying

Neither, obviously! You'll pay nothing.
I’m unsure of how to go forward.Read the NEWBIES thread post 2 and the Template Defence thread. No links needed.
I’ve tried logging in on money claim using the claim no. And password but it won’t let me for some reason. It will work if this is a new Claim against you. You are perhaps doing something wrong: mistaking a lower case L for an upper case i or number 1 maybe? Putting them in the wrong box?
There is a current tsunami of Smart Parking claims. So much so, that I now have copy & paste advice ready:
just click on the username@MeltofCopy their version of a Smart Parking final defence posted on April 12th.Don't copy & paste it here as we really don't want to keep being asked to check this defence in thread after thread in May, which is driving us regulars a bit mad with this current Smart Parking batch!Literally read any Smart thread…Then follow the 8 steps in the Template Defence thread. It'll be discontinued just before the hearing fee falls due in the Autumn/Winter.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So I have copied @Meltof exact wording into the defense parameters. That’s what I was supposed to do?

Ignore it, standard stuff, everyone gets it, no biggie
Follow the 8 steps in the defence template thread in announcements near the top of the forum
You will be downloading the N180 DQ pdf document from the government website and filling it in, as described in those 8 steps, when you receive the official paperwork in the post from the CNBC in Northampton
Please study those 8 steps

We don't need to see the usual stuff. This is why the 8 steps are there, to save our time and give new posters complete confidence.
