Choosing a New Tariff, some price inconsistencies
Hello,
My EDF fixed tariff is coming to an end.
They are offering me money to switch to one of their tariffs but their stated average price is lower than that in CheapEnergyClub, despite the annual consumption being the same.
I checked Uswitch and their price is simlar to that of CEC.
Why the difference?
Judging by comparison sites, the best option seems to be Outfox. Never used them but seem to have reasonable good reviews. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Also, can someone confirm there is a cooling period for any switch? Could not find that information in the site.
Many thanks!

Are you comparing an including-VAT price with a not-including-VAT price?

What's the 'stated average price'?
If it's a Fixed Rate tariff and you specified your expected annual use in kWh then there's no average, it's just a quoted amount in Pounds and Pence, full stop.
Obviously the actual amounts you pay will depend on your actual usage.
