Got my coffee and ready to face the world. The day doesn't look too promising, seems to have rained overnight, I have better hopes for today.
After a great sleep on Sunday night I did a white wash yesterday, got it out on the line and kept my fingers crossed for a dry day. I went into town to drop something off at the Drs, just as I arrived the rain arrived too. My plans to go to the big town soon drifted away as I didn't need anything much apart from milk so I got that and went straight home. Surprise…no rain here! Everything dried well. Small joys.
In the afternoon I decided to make some egg mayo mixture ready for lunch today. After reading about using Greek yoghurt rather than mayo I did that. I'm not sure about it, maybe because it's just different. It's the tang that I didn't take to. Of course I'll use it today and tomorrow, can always temper it with some mayo if needed. Won't be doing that again.
This morning I'm invigilating, haven't checked what's on because it doesn't matter much to me. Then I'll continue with writing lists of things to take on holiday, just under a fortnight to go and the butterflies are building.
Hugs to all. Are you OK @silver-oldie? Lovely story about your little one @dp1, she goes from strength to strength.

Morning all
Lashing with rain here and will be all day, I have two people coming today and we are going to a local museum which is based on a disused airfield it’s an aviation museum with many stories and exhibits from WW2, we have been before and it’s a nice way to spend a few hours, they also have a good cafe there for tea and cake.
Dinner tonight will be carbonara with the left over gammon from yesterday there is enough for a sandwich for me today as well, dd is working late so will eat there.
We did not get OH’s tax return done yesterday as he had a big chunk of paperwork missing so that’s still to do, dd and I went to B&M and she stocked up on cleaning products for her new house she also got a few reed defusers and candles, she still needs a bed and sofa but we can’t really order anything till she has a moving date as we don’t have room to store big things.
I cooked mum a roast lamb dinner yesterday and another one for today, I shall go there tomorrow and do her another two dinners.
Have good days all and take care xx

I’m enjoying a slower start as work starts a little later. Weather is horrid but it’ll get the garden wet ready for some planting out in the warmth later in the week.
Took DM to buy bedding plants and we now have nearly 100 - not sure how many she’ll have the strength to plant so I may be busy. They also have a new laptop arriving today so that’s for me to set up too. She should get to see the GP today and get some nurse help with dressings, and have her treatment tomorrow. Need to chase the scan as well. Not quite sure how I have time to go to work and try and run my craft business too 😂😂
Best wishes to all those that need it

Good morning
Rain overnight but dry at present, rain forecast again later, but at least the weekend looks promising.
Another day of not doing much, OH is doing the vacuuming, honestly you'd think it's really hard work. Wait until I introduce him to the floor mopping! Things I do every day without complaining. I guess he won't be doing it much when my 2 weeks are up.
Tonight either pork chops or a beef stew, all meat from the freezer. I'd prefer the stew but will see what OH wants as he's working so hard (sigh).
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's wet here too and we have the pleasure of thunderstorms to look forward to later! A bit different to yesterday when we had a taste of summer in the afternoon.
I got back from the caravan at tea time and after unpacking and putting away and then seeing today's dire forecast I decided to do my first wash load and put it on the airer with the dehumidifier going. That was all dry by this morning so the second wash load has now replaced it. One more wash load to go but as it's my bedding to go back for my next Caravan stay there is no immediate rush for that.
I ordered a cheese hamper yesterday for DS's birthday next week and I have had an email telling me it will be delivered today. Crikey that's quick, so I'm hoping it will go in the fridge until the w/e. It's all in a little wicker hamper and doesn't look overly big - says she hopefully!
I'm missing the caravan already! It's quiet enough round here but it's the lovely scenery and wildlife spotting there that I miss. DD and youngest DGD are going next week but I'm happy to leave them to it as I know I'd end up the unpaid help for the week!
Have a lovely day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for those with elderly parent worries and woes to deal with. I've been there and know how draining it is. As I'm now 80 myself I just hope I fade away quietly before needing help and assistance from my DD and DS. Gosh I've suddenly got morbid, sorry! Take care all xx

Morning everyone
It's forecast to be a showery day, with thunder later. After work yesterday the sun came out so I got some tidying in the garden done, I enjoyed it. I need to get some plants at the weekend.. I don't know how many times my washing had been rained on as we'd had heavy showers all day, but it was all dry by 7pm.
I'll go down to the care home this morning, before work and then go over to my friends' after work.
TA morbid perhaps, but I totally agree with you…I never thought I'd see my mam fade away so quickly
Right, better get on I hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all, rained here too, ok atm but very grey. Yesterdays lunch at the pub with DB2 & SiL was really nice, & we got a family and friends discount as DGDs mum works there. Gave SiLs card and bottle of wine to her as it's her birthday today. We didnt eat any tea until late as we were so full and then only had a bit, so the casserole I cooked on Sunday has gone in the freezer, should do the 3 of us another meal.
RRuby, exciting for DD getting ready for her 1st house.
Dp1,hope DD is better but nice to have the LO's for company ( and help!)
I want to go up to the retail park this morning for some bits, not been shopping up there for a while.
Hope those with worries get them sorted. Bye for now.

Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers
Pouring with rain and quite chilly here. Need some milk and a couple of other bits so I'll catch the bus in a minute.
Take care
