Right. That's not helpful, then.
The first step is to contact Clarks and see what they say. In the full expectation they're not interested (and at this stage, why would they be?) you need to ask whoever diagnosed the failed turbo to explain why they think it failed, assuming that's not the same friend who's been doing the oil changes. The only way I see you getting anything from Clarks is if you can show that there was an inherent problem when they sold it to you that was always going to lead to turbo failure. I can't imagine that's going to be easy to show.

10,000 miles done, 2 years owned, 7 years old. I highly doubt you will get anything from the selling dealer.
I can't see a case for being there at sale given the 10k miles done.

and this is why I cannot see why anyone would want to be a car dealer…. these conversations would clearly challenge most people…

Have I missed something?
Car new 2019, bought 2 years ago s/h with 6 month warranty.
I've had many s/h cars and I would never have thought about a claim.

7 year old car, out of warranty, "serviced" by a mate with who knows what oil and parts, no chance of any liability elsewhere.
This repair is going to be yours to suck up.

No chance. Fix it and move on

Has the vehicle been regularly serviced and maintained as per the honda service schedule? also has the correct grade of engine oil all ways been used?. these turbos are oil cooled, so if wrong oil is used it can knacker up the turbo. If these things are not adhered to, it may invalidate the warranty.

Oh dear. That's shot yourself in the foot.
Even finance & S75 re going to say no, with no proof of any servicing.
Maybe look for a 2nd hand turbo of ebay etc & change yourself would be the cheapest option.

The vehicle is seven years old and had a 6 month warranty at the time of purchase two years ago, don't think Honda will be getting involved.
