    Indeed. But some helpful points have been made in sounding this matter out that are valuable. Also, in my experience, solicitors are less willing or able to advise where there is no close family so the questions they may normally ask don’t apply. I believe being clear on what you want when you go to a solicitor is a courtesy to them and more likely to end up with the Will wanted and will enable them to ask relevant questions. I don’t see that there is a problem with sounding out ideas with other people on here who may well have experience of different Will formats.
