Hold-ups when buying leasehold property

Thanks, I'd already kept the estate agent in the loop and they've hopefully passed information on to the seller. Hopefully they'll push things along.

True. I went with a local firm which was recommended to me, and resisted the urge to look at cheaper online conveyancers. Looked up reviews for my seller's solicitor out of curiosity and they're hardly glowing… nothing horrendous, but not great. That's completely out of my control though so I haven't obsessed about it. I wasn't offered any sort of premium service, and in my situation I don't know if it would have helped at all, as it wouldn't necessarily make the freeholders get a shift on.
